YSL Tee and Leather Jeans

Okay, so I’m not getting lazy with my photos. I really did have a great t-shirt outfit for this Tuesday, but who knew being on vacation would actually leave me without any time to do the things I planned. Oh well; I put together a set in Polyvore that I would wear…somewhere. Hope you enjoy.

Road to Success

Image from Travel + Leisure

Isn’t it a little sad when some things come to an end? This question popped into my head after watching the final chapter of the Twilight series. I thought to myself, “This was a really great saga, and now it’s over.” And to think, it all stemmed from the mind of a writer who created a story that will now have it’s place in time. Now while some may disagree on whether it was a good saga, it is still something that was birthed from the mind of an author and has managed to appeal to the masses. And, I for one enjoyed it. I think it’s amazing how our minds can create such wonderful things that in some way touch others. As someone who enjoys literature, I find myself doubting my skills and abilities when I see the works that others have created. I ask myself “Could I possibly create something as good?” But then I say to myself “If someone else can do it, then why not me?”

Just a little fashion inspiration

Photos: Women’s Heath / People Style Watch / Glamour / InStyle

While doing a little cleaning this morning I decided to go through my magazines to see which ones I wanted to keep and which ones to get rid of. I couldn’t believe the pile of prints that I had accumulated in just a matter of months. While many of my magazines have now found a new home in the recycling bin, I had to hold on to the ones that have looks that I’d like to make my own. I figured I would take a photo of them just to see how it all turned out.

Bacon. (cutting up t-shirts)

So today is another Tee’d off Tuesday where I feature a t-shirt idea. Well, due to a lot of unforeseen changes going on in my life along with the change in weather; I have not been able to take photos. But I came across this wonderful post from a fellow blogger who gives a great how-to on making men’s t-shirts work for women. Like her, I love the graphics that men’s shirts offer, but I dislike the way the silhouette looks on my body. So following her steps gives me the graphics that I love with a fit that flatters. I will definitely showcase my t-shirt next week after applying her steps. Hope you enjoy!

Now is the time to live.

I remember the first time that I heard this quote was when I watched the movie Braveheart in its entirety with my dad on a Sunday afternoon. I had never watched it before then. I can’t say I was that interested in it. Not because I don’t like historical movies or movies with action, because I do. But Braveheart just wasn’t one of those movies that caught my fancy. But after watching it, I absolutely love it, and everytime it comes on t.v. I make it a point to watch it. One of the major things that struck a chord with me was the words of Sir William Wallace.  Think about it. How many of us are afraid to really live life, even with it being so fleeting.
