Plans for a future…

I started off trying to write about how thankful we should be. Then I squashed that idea and decided to write about procrastination and how it should be avoided even when doing something we really don’t want to do. But truthfully it wouldn’t be genuine because I’m not in that frame of mind right now. I do like to start off my weeks on a high note though, and the one thing that keeps playing over and over in my mind is a scripture that my grandmother left me a couple of years ago before she passed. It was in a book that she gave me (not talking about the Bible) that I didn’t read until after she left us. But, it has always stayed with me and it helps to keep me going. Hope it helps someone else as well.

Consistent: the same throughout in structure or composition.

One thing I’ve come to realize is that in order to make “it,” you’ve got to be consistent and you’ve got to make some sacrifices.

A couple of days ago I was having a conversation with one of my best friends. We were discussing an Olympics commercial that we saw in which various athletes mentioned something they’ve had to sacrifice and how long they’ve had to sacrifice to make it to the Olympics.

I remember two statements in particular where a guy said he did not order dessert for two years. Another person said they hadn’t watched tv in six months. I don’t know about you, but both would be pretty hard for me.

V is for cheVron…

Picture found on Pinterest

Okay, so v really isn’t for chevron, but this nifty stripe has made a comeback in recent years. Now, with the bold beautiful colors of the summer emerging, and the pleasant pastels of the spring here; the chevron stripe has received an upgrade. I love the way chevron is being used lately in fashion and home decor.
