Now is the time to live.

I remember the first time that I heard this quote was when I watched the movie Braveheart in its entirety with my dad on a Sunday afternoon. I had never watched it before then. I can’t say I was that interested in it. Not because I don’t like historical movies or movies with action, because I do. But Braveheart just wasn’t one of those movies that caught my fancy. But after watching it, I absolutely love it, and everytime it comes on t.v. I make it a point to watch it. One of the major things that struck a chord with me was the words of Sir William Wallace.  Think about it. How many of us are afraid to really live life, even with it being so fleeting.

Plans for a future…

I started off trying to write about how thankful we should be. Then I squashed that idea and decided to write about procrastination and how it should be avoided even when doing something we really don’t want to do. But truthfully it wouldn’t be genuine because I’m not in that frame of mind right now. I do like to start off my weeks on a high note though, and the one thing that keeps playing over and over in my mind is a scripture that my grandmother left me a couple of years ago before she passed. It was in a book that she gave me (not talking about the Bible) that I didn’t read until after she left us. But, it has always stayed with me and it helps to keep me going. Hope it helps someone else as well.

Believe it and you can…

I started off writing this post as a way to motivate myself a bit with the hopes of maybe motivating others as well. I could sit here and dwell on a lot of things. It’s easy to think about what is not going well or what isn’t happening fast enough. It’s such an easy thing to slip into a black hole of negative thoughts that can consume you within seconds. So, I decided not to do that. I notice that I find myself getting into a rut as my weekends come to a close, mainly because it’s the start of a new work week. But then I have to remind myself that I have a work week, and there are so many people out there that don’t. So although there are things that are lacking right now in my chosen profession, which sometimes I feel chose me; I won’t focus on those things. Instead,
